Planted in 1972 with Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz & Merlot vines; Riesling was planted later. The un-irrigated vines are hand pruned & picked. All work is done by family & friends.

 

Cellar door open Weekends & Public Holidays 10:00 - 5:00, other times by appointment.

Big Shed Wines

Macedon Ranges

Established in 1999 with a planting of 5 acres of Pinot Noir, but producing other wines from grapes sourced locally wherever possible.

 

Opening April 2001 with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz for sale, the Big Shed is a local landmark on the Daylesford-Malmsbury Road between Glenlyon and Denver.

eLLender ESTATE

Jenny and Graham ellender's boutique vineyard and winery, Ellender Estate, is set in the tranquil and picturesque Victorian countryside at Glenlyon near Daylesford.

 

The property Leura Glen echoes the natural character of the volcanic region of the Macedon Ranges and Spa Country where the vineyard adn winery is located.

 

In this unique environment the Ellenders produce cool and cold climate wines from ther own estate vines, and from premium quality fruit obtained locally under the Red Nelle label.

 

You are welcome to visit the winery for  tastings, sales, wine discussion, gourmet platters of local foods and quality espresso coffee.
